Champions League Game(s) of the Week

The last match day of the group stages is tomorrow.  Here is a look at some of the big matches for Wednesday.

Inter Milan vs. Rubin Kazan
Rubin Kazan is one of the teams that have benefited from the Champions League being opened up to more teams.  The Russian side is currently 2nd in their group and only trail group leaders Barcelona by 2 points.  They will be facing a determined Inter Milan who will be hoping to qualify with a win.  Kazan can get through with a draw.  The pressure will be on because they will be playing this game at the San Siro.  Not the most friendly atmosphere, however, they were able to tie the Italian team the last time these two played back in September.

Stuttgart vs. Unirea Urziceni
This should be a straight forward task for Stuttgart.  Win and you go through.  If they manage a win they will finish second in their group and will have until February to try and iron out the issues that have seen them slump to third in their group.  German fans will be hoping new manager Christian Gross can inspire his team to a win in his first competitive match for the club.  Stuttgart currently find themselves in 16th place out of the 18 teams in the Bundesliga.  The Romanian side, Unirea, will be happy to settle for a draw as that is all that is required for them to progress.
