About

It all began with an argument.  Soccer is a daily discussion between me and my friends.  Debates can range from the best player in the world to the latest transfer rumor or even the worst haircut on the pitch.  There is no limit to the topics we cover on a daily basis about this beautiful sport.  In 2009, a couple of friends and I decided to share our thoughts and ideas with the world and start the American Treble, a blog covering all aspects of this great game.

The name came easy.  Three American friends with varying backgrounds in soccer having watched, played, and coached all over the world wanted to share their views with fellow footy fans.  In soccer, good things tend to come in threes, generally known as a treble.  So we agreed American Treble was the right name to go with.

For the casual fan soccer is just a sport.  For the fanatical soccer is more than that.  Soccer is more than just goals, trophies, and celebrations.  Soccer is a lifestyle that has the power to change the world.  This sport has been influential in pop culture, creating awareness for social issues, and even halting civil unrest throughout the world.  Soccer is one of the few sports that can make such claims and soccer is the only one that looks so beautiful while doing it.

Since graduating from college two of my colleagues have left to pursue careers and start families.  The American Treble started out as a blog to spread our love for the game to the world and we have been fortunate to do just that.  To coincide with American Treble’s 2nd anniversary in July 2011, I decided to go one step further and open an online shop to share these ideas and express the brand through a new creative outlet.

It is my goal that this new store will emphasize the lifestyle that the sport of soccer promotes off of the field and help inspire others to be better.  Soccer can be stylish both on and off the pitch.

If you have a competitive side to your personality then you probably already play the English Premier League’s Fantasy game.  Every year I look forward to the start of the Premier League just so I can set up my fantasy team for the new year.  What started out as a group of five or six friends has turned into a group with hundreds of participants and it grows each and every year.  Managers not only compete for bragging rights but also for monthly prizes from our new shop.  It is a highly competitive game, but one that ensures fun is had by all.
