I just recently got a new Apple iPad and one of the apps that was recommended that I download was Flipboard.  Since I have downloaded this free app I have barely been able to function as a citizen of the world because I spend so much time browsing.  Flipboard is your customizable social magazine that you control.  Mine is heavily geared towards soccer but I also found room for tech toys, music, photography, and a number of other items.  Seriously if you have an iPad check this app out.  You can also get Flipboard on your iPhone as well.  Once you get it make sure you search for American Treble and add our Twitter feed, Facebook updates, or blog posts to your boards!

I am as shocked by the title as you are but apparently it is true.  Look at ‘Frimmers’ trying his hand at being a lyricist.

For those of you who thought expansion packs were only for games like Gears of War or some random iteration of the Star Wars franchise – think again!  EA Sports has just released a new trailer for their Euro 2012 expansion pack for FIFA 12.  Don’t worry because I forgot that the Euro tournament took place this summer too.

Who doesn’t love a great cause?  The You Can Play Project is a movement to eradicated homophobia in hockey.  There slogan is, ‘If you can play, you can play’.  It is such a great message and one that can and should be used in all sports.

As usual I am late to the party with this track but I heard it while on a recent road trip to Biloxi, Mississippi, and I loved it.  How can you not love a band named Fun?

Surprisingly I had never heard of Gary Clark Jr. before now.  I saw the video for his hit song “Bright Lights” on TV and figured I would share.  It has a nice soulful vibe that is different from the dance trance craze we are bombarded with on the radio.  Check out his video!  You can get this song and more from his EP here (iTunes page).
